Absolutely great instructions on how to start and maintain your sourdough starter, with photos! I am late to the “make your own rustic sourdough loaves during Covid” craze, but I am amazed at the quality breads I have made by following instructions for the basic beginner loaf once my starter was strong (about 10 days of nurturing)。 The back half of the book includes recipes for your sourdough discard, otherwise known as the starter you throw away every day when you feed your starter。 I’ve made t Absolutely great instructions on how to start and maintain your sourdough starter, with photos! I am late to the “make your own rustic sourdough loaves during Covid” craze, but I am amazed at the quality breads I have made by following instructions for the basic beginner loaf once my starter was strong (about 10 days of nurturing)。 The back half of the book includes recipes for your sourdough discard, otherwise known as the starter you throw away every day when you feed your starter。 I’ve made the honey butter biscuits as well。 My family is swooning over this bread and I feel like a rock star!! I have only been at it for three weeks now, maybe I will report back again at a later date。 I did also buy a stone wear cloche to bake the bread in and a banneton basket so it would look pretty after rising, all discussed within this book。 You can’t go wrong here if you want to learn how to create and maintain a sourdough starter and bake an amazing loaf of sourdough bread! Highly recommended! 。。。more

I heard Hannah Dela Cruz on the sourdough podcast and knew I would love her collection! This book is unique because of the amount of discard recipes and due to the recipes you wouldn’t think to find in a sourdough book! Im so happy to own this book!
